About

Farming isn’t just about corn, beans and combines. Looking around at the landscape in Ohio would tell you otherwise, but there is more to it than that.

Closer to the turn of the previous century, farms were a diversified conglomeration of plants and animals. That makes sense.  Just like it’s a good thing to diversify your financial portfolio, we believe that our farm should be diversified as well.

But we just want you to know that we’re new at this farming thing. We don’t have a background in agriculture. All we have is our short experiences, a couple of classes at The Ohio State University in soil science, YouTube videos and lots of books.

We also have our beliefs. The belief that a farm can change the community, for the better. The belief that it restores and heals the soil. And the fact that it feeds our families. We are mutually dependent on one another.

Agriculture … is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals & happiness.
